4,000 miles in the first week of the relay!

Just one week into the 2024 National Motorcycle Teddy Bear Relay and the bears have clocked up over 4,000 miles already!

Travelling from bike-to-bike in a continuous ‘relay’ all around the UK, the relay runs until the 20th of July, so there’s still two weeks to go.

Starting at Cheddar Gorge on the 30th of June and initially riding the first section of the relay around southern England, the bears were now travelling through the heart of Wales when they went past the 4,000-mile mark. After this the bears will travel back through the East of England up to Cairnryan in Scotland, where they will catch the ferry to Northern Ireland for a whistle stop tour, then back over to Scotland, and up to John o’ Groats.

After spending a while travelling around Scotland the bears will come back down the Northeast of England, down to the East Midlands, into the West Midland, and then make their way up to Ladybower Reservoir in the Peak District where they will then have their final ride up to The Old George Inn, Sykehouse, in Goole for a well earned party!

This year’s charities are:

Lia’s Wings

DocBike UK
